How to unlock the Nook Shop in Animal Crossing: New Horizons?
After repaying your first loan, Méli from the Residents' Office will make you an offer! He will offer you a collaboration to opening a new store. You guessed it, it's the Nook shop ! Led in previous games by Tom Nook, this time it's Méli and Mélo who will take care of it.
However, before you can open it, Méli will ask you for a favor: you will have to collect the following materials :
- 30 pieces of wood
- 30 pieces of hardwood
- 30 pieces of soft wood
- 30 iron nuggets
These materials are easily found in trees and rocks, and you can use your shovel and ax to get them. Once you have collected everything, take it all back to Méli, so that he gives you the site kit of the shop, which you will have to place at the place of your choice on the island. Once placed, construction of the shop will begin, and the next day you will have access to it! You can then take advantage of the items offered for sale by Méli et Mélo, which change every day!
Upgrade the Nook Shop
Like many buildings in Animal Crossing, it is possible improve the Nook Shop ! To unlock the Nook Shop upgrade, you must:
- Have unlocked the store for 30 days
- Have spent and sold a total of 200 Bells
