Fishing is one of the most popular activities in Animal Crossing New Horizons, because the fish allow you to fill the Bébêtopédie, but also to obtain bells by selling them. Some of them are worth more than others due to their rarity, notably the Ribbon Fish for example. We explain to you how to put all the chances on your side to fish it!

To have a chance of catching it, you will have to fish in the ocean! This fish is distinguished from others by its very large size, similar to that of sharks (6th size out of 6 in total).
If you catch it, you can sell your Ribbon Fish for 9 Bells, or donate it to the museum if you're catching it for the first time!
How to catch rare fish on Animal Crossing?
To have a better chance of getting rare fish, we advise you to go to mystery islands ! These are usually good places to catch rare fish, like sturgeon or golden trout for example. You can also try to get some with bait, but the success rate is lower. You can craft bait by finding clams in the sand!
