Several sharks exist in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and they are all very rare! They are fished in summer, between the months of june and september in the northern hemisphere, and between the months of December et March in the southern hemisphere. You will generally find them late in the evening or at night, between 16 p.m. and 9 a.m., except for the whale shark, which can be fished all day. To have a chance of catching them, you will have to fish in the oceans. These sharks are easily distinguished from other fish by their very large size (6th size out of 6 in total), as well as their fin !
If you catch them, you can resell them between 8 and 000 Bells depending on the shark, or donate them to the museum if you are catching them for the first time!
How to catch rare fish on Animal Crossing?
To have a better chance of getting rare fish, we advise you to go to mystery islands ! These are usually good places to catch rare fish, like sturgeon or golden trout for example. You can also try to get some with bait, but the success rate is lower. You can craft bait by finding clams in the sand!
