Enable two-factor authentication in Call of Duty

This feature is implemented by the various developers and publishers in order to fight against account hacking, which can sometimes generate costs for the victim, if his credit card is saved in the game for example. Games such as Fortnite or Rainbow Six: Siege have already implemented double authentication, making it possible to limit the risks. As we told you above, Activision has already made it available for some time, but if you've never done so, here's how:
  • Go to the Call of Duty two-factor authentication page.
  • Click on the “Set up Two-Factor Authentication” button
  • Log in if you haven't already.
  • A QR Code appears, download Google Authenticator on your phone.
  • Click on the + at the top right in the application
  • Scan the code.
Double authentication is now enabled. As a result, only you will now be able to log in to your account, since you will receive a code on Google Authenticator each time you log in.

Note that this is also supposed to limit the number of cheaters, since a phone number is now linked to an account. If a cheater who had linked their number to a banned account tries to create a new one, they should normally be unable to do so.
