What are candies for in Animal Crossing: New Horizons?

The candies are one of the new Halloween features in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. You may have noticed, on your way to the Nook shop, that it was possible to buy them, and you probably wondered what their usefulness was!

Candy in Animal Crossing: New Horizons has several functions :

  • allow you to get rewards near Jacqu'O October 31 between 17 p.m. and midnight
  • Prevent locals from hurting you farces giving them sweets
  • Eat them to get more strength

It is therefore interesting to always have sweets on you, to be able to use them when necessary. Be careful however, it is not possible to buy only one candy a day ! Use them wisely and save some for Halloween.
