You will quite often meet somewhat special characters in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which cannot be inhabitants of your island! They usually stay for a day, and often have something to ask you, or to offer you. Among them, Joe, a photographer dog, will pass on your island too!

How to get to Joe's in Animal Crossing: New Horizons?
Joe is a dog with a very hippie look, which you will come across on your island after having built the three houses requested by Tom Nook! He is photographer by profession, and if you talk to him, he will offer you to come to his island. Once that's done, go to the airport, and tell Morris that you want get to Joe's Island.
No need to take specific tools with you, since it will not be possible to recover materials once there! On site, you will realize that the Joe's house is a photo studio. Inside, you'll find six rooms with different flooring and wallpaper each time. You can arrange these rooms as you see fit with all the furniture in your catalog, and especially invite all the amiibos you have there, if they are Animal Crossing characters, as well as the inhabitants of your island. In total, you can have up to 10 photo models at the same time!
In addition to furniture and photo models, you will also be able to choose your outfit and that of your models. The Nook Shopping will lend you clothes for that ! Please note, however, that some residents may refuse to wear certain clothes.
