This very rare fish from Animal Crossing: New Horizons is fished rather in the summer, at two times of the year: between the months of March to May, then the months of September to November. You will usually find it late in the evening or at night, between 16 p.m. and 9 a.m. To have a chance to catch it, you will have to go to the rivers located high up on the cliffs. This fish will stand out for its rather large size! (5th size out of 6 in total).

If you catch it, you can sell your Golden Trout for 15 Bells, or donate it to the museum if you catch it for the first time!

How to catch rare fish on Animal Crossing?

To have a better chance of getting rare fish, we advise you to go to mystery islands ! These are usually good places to catch rare fish, like sturgeon or golden trout for example. You can also try to get some with bait, but the success rate is lower. You can craft bait by finding clams in the sand!
