This information works if your island is in the southern hemisphere.
The striped remoras fished in summer, between the months of june and september for the northern hemisphere, and the months of december to march for the southern hemisphere. You'll find them all day, and to have a chance of catching them, you'll have to fish in the oceans. Striped remoras are difficult to distinguish from other fish because of their decals average (3rd size out of 6 in total).
If you catch them, you can resell them 1 Bells, or donate them to the museum if you catch them for the first time!
How to catch rare fish on Animal Crossing?
To have a better chance of getting rare fish, we advise you to go to mystery islands ! These are usually good places to catch rare fish, like sturgeon or golden trout for example. You can also try to get some with bait, but the success rate is lower. You can craft bait by finding clams in the sand!
