Repair Scrapper the robot

The first step is to repair Gondo's scrap picker robot. Speak with him in the bazaar at the workbench and he will tell you to collect Ancient Flowers. These grow in a few key locations in the Lanayru Desert.

Ancient Flower Locations

There are three areas where you can get the Ancient Flower, but these two are the easiest. The first is near the southernmost bird statue near the desert entrance. Activate the Time Shift stone and climb the vines that appear.

Exit the Temple of Time and head to the eastern edge of the gorge. Activate the Time Shift stone, then bring the two flowers together using your handy beetle.

Take the flowers back to Gondo and you'll see a fun cutscene between Scrapper and Fi. Now when dowsing you can call Scapper to bring things to the surface for you.

Head to the Eldin area and the Temple of Earth. The location you are looking for is where the first piece of Eldin's Key is hidden. Go ahead, use your dowsing and tell Fi yes, you want Scrapper to come get the windmill propeller.

Now is the easy part. Watch the cutscene unfold, then use the bellows to activate the windmill.
